Three years have passed since the events of October 7, yet the commitment to remember, share, and preserve the stories for future generations remains. This year, Electra FM marked the anniversary through a series of initiatives connecting the places where the events unfolded, the personal testimonies of those affected, and the memories that have become part of our collective story.

Remembrance takes many forms. It lives in the places we revisit, the stories that continue to be told, and the personal experiences each individual carries. Guided by this understanding, Electra FM organized several initiatives this year, offering employees an opportunity to step away from their daily routines, listen, reflect, and engage with the events of October 7 from different perspectives.

On October 8, Electra FM employees participated in a commemorative tour titled “From Remembrance to Renewal” in Sderot and the communities surrounding the Gaza Strip. Throughout the day, participants visited several sites closely associated with the events of October 7 and the region’s journey since then, including the Re’im parking area, the Nova Festival site, and the memorial dedicated to the female surveillance soldiers.

""

One of the most meaningful moments of the tour was the encounter with Moshe Mirensky, an employee of Electra Security, an Electra FM company, who shared his personal story and that of his mother, who was murdered in her home on October 7. His deeply moving and harrowing testimony gave these places a human face, a voice, and a personal story, reminding participants that behind the events are individuals and families whose lives were forever changed that day.

""

This focus on the human stories was also reflected in additional initiatives, including a private screening of the film “Our Love”, held on October 6 at Cinema City. The film brought stories from October 7 to the screen through moments of love, courage, and resilience in the face of adversity.

""

At the same time, as part of the initiative “The Story That Stays With Us”, employees were invited to share a personal story, experience, or photograph that has stayed with them since that day. Alongside the widely known and documented accounts, the initiative created space for individual memories, moments, and experiences that together offer a broader perspective on that day and the years that have followed.

""

Three years on, remembrance continues to take many forms: returning to the places where events unfolded, listening to personal testimonies, witnessing another person’s story, and finding the courage to share one’s own. Each of these acts offers an opportunity to step away from everyday life, honor those who are no longer with us, and ensure that their stories remain part of our collective memory for years to come.
