The replacement systems were based on legacy circuit breakers manufactured by Cutler Hammer, categorized as “End of Life” (EOL) systems. This meant that these systems were no longer manufactured, and spare parts were unavailable. The professional team highlighted these risks during the absorption survey, noting disabling malfunctions that had already occurred, leaving the facility vulnerable to power outages. Given the absence of available spare parts, it became clear that a full replacement was necessary. <\/p>\n\n
In response to this critical situation, it was decided to proceed with an immediate upgrade of the systems. After evaluating several proposals approved by the client, Kahane, a company renowned for its expertise in advanced electrical solutions, was selected to undertake this complex project. <\/p>\n\n
The work was strategically divided into two phases\u2014upgrading the system in both the upper block (State Comptroller) and the lower block (public). To minimize disruptions to ongoing operations, the project was executed during nighttime hours. The upgrade involved a complete overhaul of the outdated systems, replacing them with cutting-edge solutions featuring circuit breakers from ABB and “Amdar” replacement controllers.
