Protecting Israel Around the Clock
7 May 2025
The covert operation throughout April nights has transformed Electra Security into a reality-changing entity in Israel.
You are already familiar with this professional combat unit, capable of rapid nationwide deployment, which swiftly revolutionized the security industry. Clients have become accustomed to advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and rapid response times from dedicated teams. Dozens of combatants, alongside the entire company’s workforce—technicians, dispatchers, control personnel, coordination, and logistics teams—began working continuous shifts around the clock as part of the Israel Prison Service’s electronic supervision project.

Electronic supervision, commonly known as electronic tagging, represents the prison service’s alternative incarceration initiative. Electra Megason and Electra Security, subsidiaries of Electra FM, secured three tenders to establish infrastructure for incarceration alternatives for detainees and prisoners in the final third of their sentence completion. A critical national task was added to this supervision program—addressing domestic violence. This program employs advanced technology, including a sophisticated control center for monitoring supervised individuals and maintaining safe alert distances from those protected by court orders. This represents a national breakthrough, combining state-of-the-art technology, rapid nationwide deployment, and innovative operational methods to tackle prison overcrowding and urgently needed effective monitoring, especially given the domestic violence epidemic.
Following the tender award, infrastructure was rapidly deployed for one of Israel’s largest supervision projects: alternatives to detention, domestic violence prevention, and response patrols for breaches, from Metula to Eilat. Within days, the company initiated operations. In just one month, 1,250 individuals were successfully transitioned to active supervision, setting unprecedented standards at record speed. Clear goals were set: 75 device replacements per day, numerous new installations, and feasibility checks—all conducted under high pressure, changing conditions, and zero margin for error. Collaboration with prison service officers was exemplary, featuring transparent reporting and real-time problem-solving.
Employees, regional managers, security fighters, and all stakeholders actively participated—not out of obligation, but from a profound sense of mission aligned with the company’s vision: protecting human life.
Behind this success story were entire teams working relentlessly, delaying personal errands and sacrificing family time during the Passover holiday—all to meet the critical target of supervising all 1,250 individuals by May 1st. Dispatchers navigated complex systems dynamically; technicians operated with sensitivity and composure; field managers coordinated hundreds of simultaneous actions; and teams in coordination, transportation, and logistics provided crucial yet unseen support. Countless obstacles failed to hinder progress. The operation peaked when it became clear that no individual could remain unsupervised beyond May 1st, despite tight deadlines, nationwide dispersion, and infrastructure issues in some homes. On Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, at 23:54, the last supervised individual was successfully transitioned—a remarkable achievement highlighting the company’s exceptional execution capabilities.

Seven years ago, the company began developing solutions and preparing for this national electronic supervision project. The past month marks the culmination of sustained efforts, proving that when Israel needs a solution, someone is ready, at night, under pressure, even when others are still preparing.

This achievement transcends technology and logistics—it is a testament to spirit. The company demonstrated that it is not merely a service provider but a national partner, understanding the immense responsibility and acting to shape a safer, more professional, ethical, and improved reality.
A sincere word of thanks and appreciation to every employee: those on the ground, in control centers, behind the scenes, and at the forefront. Thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and determination to succeed. As Superintendent Shlomi Cohen, Head of the Alternatives to Incarceration Division at the Prison Service, stated: “The joint effort with Electra Security exemplifies how cooperation between a public entity and a leading private company can yield groundbreaking solutions for Israel’s security and law enforcement agencies.” Thanks to your efforts, thousands sleep better tonight. And because of you, we know there is a determined team of fighters and managers ready for any national challenge.
