Meet Idit Shani, VP of IFM and Strategic Customers.
Idit Shani is 48 years old, from Hod Hasharon, and married to Yigal. She is a mother of two: Tomer and Ben. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Derby. She joined ElectraFM about six years ago, after gaining 25 years of experience in IFM and operations in high-tech customers.

Idit, could you please tell us a little about your professional path in IFM?
“I started my professional career at an international company that dealt with integrative asset management (IFM). Over the last 25 years, I have accumulated experience in this field, and today, I lead IFM and strategic global clients in the group. I believe wholeheartedly in its importance and great impact on the business environment in which we operate.”

What exactly is the IFM model?
“The IFM (Integrative Asset Management) model is an innovative and advanced approach to asset management and operation, emphasizing providing quality and efficient service to the client. The model is based on key principles such as customization of management solutions, skilled staff, use of advanced technologies, efficient processes, constant control and improvement, an advanced monitoring platform, and full cooperation with the customer. I believe that this approach would be an ideal solution for many companies and organizations.”

What challenges do you face in your role?
“As VP of IFM, I am responsible for leading a dynamic and evolving field, while dealing with many challenges. I need to understand organizational politics, be innovative and creative, identify accurate messages, position the group’s image, and strengthen the interfaces with business partners.”

What has been the biggest challenge throughout your career?
“The biggest challenge throughout my career has been building IFM from scratch. I had to instill the IFM concept in the group in all its forms while leading a new field with unique content.”

And what projects/achievements are you most proud of today?
“I am proud of various projects and achievements throughout my career, including the groundbreaking sustainability package, the Group’s Hidash website, and a strategic partnership model with global partners. These projects contributed greatly to the Group’s success while strengthening the brand, improving its image, and promoting innovation. I am also proud of the amazing team I have built, the organizational culture, and the significant improvement in the group’s performance.”

What are the values that guide you in your work?
“My work is guided by values such as sensitivity, initiative, honesty, transparency, assertiveness, quality, and excellence.”

What is your vision for the group?
“My vision for the group is to eloquently demonstrate the IFM product, which assembles and integrates all the worlds of service in the operation and maintenance of assets. And when the letter “I” here will be “WE,” meaning all of us, we can turn the ecosystem into an ecosystem.”

And outside of work, what are your hobbies and occupations?
“Like in life, I love distance running. Running symbolizes for me my approach to life: constant striving forward, perseverance, determination, and patience. I always strive to develop and grow, both personally and professionally.”

Today is International Women’s Day, what does this mean for you?
“For me, Women’s Day is a special day in which I choose to celebrate all women, wherever they are. It’s a time to stop for a moment, observe and see our feminine strength, and feminine tenderness. In the professional world, it is the right combination and an essential ingredient for endless success and constant growth.”

Who is your role model?
“One of the women who inspired me is former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She headed a great power and made revolutionary changes in a world where women didn’t have enough open doors.
Beyond the fact that Thatcher was the Prime Minister, which is an achievement in itself, she was not ashamed to be a woman in the world in which she lived and knew how to maintain her femininity without being ashamed of it.
One of her most inspiring and memorable phrases is loosely translated:‘If you want something to be said, give the task to the man. If you want something done, give the task to the woman.'”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“The best advice I’ve ever received in my life is from my beloved mother, ‘Believe in yourself, and there’s nothing you won’t succeed in!’

And what is your message to women?
“It all starts with ourselves, dear women. Stop apologizing for being assertive and career-driven! Believe in yourself, walk upright, be authentic, appreciate and cherish the women in your life, empower and support them, and work for true equality.”

Happy Women’s Day!
