On the occasion of International Women’s Day, we are proud to share the impressive story of Galia Koren, who has demonstrated how value-based management, listening, and belief in people lead to personal growth and organizational success.

Galia’s professional journey at Electra FM began six years ago, when she arrived as an OES administrator on the HP project at the Ness Ziona campus. “I got the position on the recommendation of a close friend who passed my resume to the manager who was leading the start of the project”, shares Galia. In her first role, she experienced a variety of operational services while getting to know the organization and the client’s requirements.

After a year of dedicated work, her skills were recognized and she was promoted to the position of OES team leader in the IFM field. “The role included managing a team of employees in the operations and logistics field”, she says. This role provided her first opportunity to lead a team and develop her leadership skills.

A significant turning point came when her manager identified her potential and recommended her participation in the “Managers Forward” course at the Electra campus. “The course gave me many tools and contributed a lot of knowledge”, notes Galia. The investment in her professional development gave her the confidence and tools to deal with new challenges.

Today, Galia fills a complex and meaningful role – she manages the soft services area at the site. “It’s a very challenging position, managing tasks with multiple interfaces – end customers, suppliers, support centers in Israel and abroad, and site employees”, she describes. “The combination of office work and field work requires flexibility and a broad perspective”.

Galia faces the central challenge of her role every day: “One of the main challenges is adapting ourselves to the changing needs and demands of the client, and dealing with constant dynamics”. But it’s clear that she finds the path to success: “My ability to lead, bridge, and influence comes from constant listening and sensitivity, and always looking for a creative way to effectively integrate everyone in a shared and successful endeavor”.

Behind Galia’s professional success stands a unique human world-view. “I believe that every employee brings something unique and everyone needs a place where they feel they belong”, she emphasizes. This approach allows her to create an inclusive and empowering work environment where every employee can fulfill their potential.

Galia does not forget to express gratitude to those who supported her along the way. “It’s important for me to mention that throughout all those years in the position, behind me is an amazing manager who is always there for me – supportive, encouraging success, advising, always attentive, and for me, she is a great inspiration!” This professional relationship illustrates the importance of mentoring and organizational support in developing female leadership. “She is an inspiration that there is always somewhere to aspire to, to develop, and to achieve!” Galia adds excitedly.

For Galia, success is not measured only in quantitative metrics. “The greatest satisfaction for me is receiving positive feedback from the client, from my direct managers, and from the employees on my team.” The balance between customer satisfaction and employee welfare constitutes for her the essence of the managerial role.

Galia bases her managerial approach on values of caring and reciprocity: “I believe in teamwork, I believe that an employee who feels good will give their maximum”. In her eyes, this is the equation for success: “Only in this way can we continue to provide service at a high level, create reassurance to the client, and lead to the success of the project”.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Galia wishes to convey an empowering message to every woman: “For Women’s Day, I wish for every woman to fulfill herself, to find the balance of family alongside career development. In every woman lies the power to dream and create”.

Galia’s story exemplifies the values that lead Electra FM – investment in human capital, development of value-based leadership, and striving for professional excellence. As she proudly summarizes: “I am proud to be part of the strength!”
