Michlol is a moving example of how a small idea, born out of a simple and difficult reality, can grow over the years into a leading company that transforms an entire industry.
In the late nineties, when Michal Keidar, Co-Founder and Director, arrived for another workday at a small cleaning company, she found rooms filled with glass ashtrays overflowing with cigarette butts, dishes being washed in bathroom sinks, and a complete lack of protective gear or safety awareness. That moment led her to approach Boaz Keidar, Co-Founder and Director, and suggest creating something different. She recalls saying: “Let’s start a cleaning company that brings high-tech standards to the industry.”

Boaz, who as a child watched his father work as a maintenance employee often treated unfairly, explains: “I witnessed how people treated those who were ‘invisible.’ We wanted to change that from the ground up.”
Driven by a genuine sense of purpose, they built a company that recognizes the importance of its workers and gives them the respect they deserve. Michal articulates it clearly: “A cleaner deserves everything an engineer gets.”

This approach created a deep and lasting impact. Michlol was among the first to provide meal cards, pension savings, structured training programs, and real integration of people with disabilities. They never viewed their workers as temporary labor but as true partners. Step by step, the company grew naturally and became a leader in its field, with hundreds of employees and broad nationwide operations.

The relationships formed with clients became one of the company’s defining strengths.
Omri Barzilai, CEO of Michlol, describes it simply: “We have clients who’ve been with us since the day we founded the company.”
He also recalls a moment that stayed with him, when a client told him: “You make us feel like we’re your only client.”
That sentence reflects a human, attentive, and precise approach that has shaped Michlol for decades.

Michal often speaks about the value of transparency, which guides the company at every stage. She says: “My favorite color is transparent. That’s how we train our managers and how we communicate with our clients.”
This line has become one of the cultural foundations of the organization.

In 2018, Michlol joined Electra FM, a move that provided strong professional support in legal, financial, IT, and HR fields — all while preserving the company’s identity and uniqueness. Boaz shares: “They welcomed us warmly and allowed us to remain who we are.”
Omri adds, “We adopted all the good things from Electra. It enables us to compete in large tenders and remain competitive without losing our boutique spirit.”

Innovation has become an integral part of Michlol’s evolution. Out of practical, day-to-day needs, the Appgrade system was developed by “Michlol Applications.” Omri explains: “This company was born from a real need in the field, not from a theoretical idea.”

Finally, Boaz summarizes decades of work with a sentence that captures everything:
“Twenty-six years later, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m proud that we cared for our people throughout the years and preserved our uniqueness. We have a 0% churn rate — we’ve never been let go by a client, and that says it all.”

Michlol stands as proof that high professionalism, deep humanity, and a clear vision can coexist.
It is a story about people who chose to see what others overlooked, and who succeeded in transforming an entire industry through respect, transparency, determination, and values.
