Every year, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we are reminded to look reality in the eye and ask how it is possible that in today’s Israel, there are still women living in constant fear. Fear that moves quietly between the rooms of the home, fear of a door opening, fear of the silence that follows an argument. Behind every number stands a woman, and often children too, living within a fragile reality. For them, real-time protection is not a luxury. It is a basic condition for survival.

Electra FM and Electra Security choose to be an active part of the solution. With a deep understanding that advanced technology, combined with human responsibility, can save lives and prevent the next act of violence, the company operates exactly at the point where fear meets reality.

According to the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics, nearly one in five women in Israel reported experiencing violence or harassment. Hundreds of thousands of women carry daily fear. Violence does not occur “somewhere far away.” It happens at home, within communities, and in workplaces. It harms safety, health, livelihoods, and families.

Out of this urgent need, a national transformation began. The amendment to the Law for the Prevention of Domestic Violence paved the way for the establishment of Mishgav, Israel’s dedicated domestic violence prevention unit, operating in partnership with the Israel Prison Service and the Israel Police and implementing the country’s electronic monitoring program. The goal is clear: prevent the next act of violence or, in some cases, the next potential murder. The system enables real-time monitoring, early detection of risk situations, and immediate alerts to enforcement authorities.

Electra Security serves as the operational and technological core of this system. Using advanced monitoring and control systems, the company supports the Mishgav Unit and the Prison Service, operates the national electronic command and control center, installs monitoring devices in the field, and analyzes every irregularity or movement in real time. This infrastructure allows danger to be detected even before a woman under threat realizes something is happening.

As the national system evolves, operational involvement grows as well. Soon, Electra Security’s rapid response teams are expected to provide immediate field response in situations that currently rely solely on the police. This will create, for the first time in Israel, a fully unified protection chain – from equipment installation to emergency field intervention.

And beyond the technology lies a deeper layer. One of the senior operations managers in the command center explained that real work does not begin with an alert tone. It begins much earlier, through scenario analysis and quiet preparation that ensures the ability to respond correctly. On the screen, each point represents a living person, a woman seeking safety.

Within this reality works Shir Sasson, Head of the Women’s Protection Unit (Yahel) at Electra Magason–Security. She accompanies women living under threat and captures the heart of the mission. As she said, we fulfill the company’s vision protecting human life dignity and property. For her, this is not an abstract statement. It is a daily truth that can be heard in every soft-spoken conversation from a woman seeking reassurance.

Shir describes monitored individuals tracked in real time and a system that prevents breaches of restraining orders and offers women a sense of protection they have not felt for a long time. To her, the system is not merely a technological device but a living, breathing layer of safety.

Nehemiah Admoni, Director of the Electronic Monitoring Project at Electra Magason–Security, explains that this work is built on deep planning and full coordination. Every detail is examined ahead of time to ensure that every response becomes reality on the ground. It is quiet work, but it carries heavy responsibility toward women living under threat.

And here lies the heart of it all. Together with the Mishgav Unit, the Israel Prison Service and the Israel Police, Electra Security forms an inseparable part of Israel’s national protection system for women. It is a new operational model in which a civilian organization and state authorities operate as one unified body with a shared purpose: saving lives. This partnership strengthens emergency response and brings together technology humanity and determination under one protective line.

All of these elements create a reality that is not always visible from the outside. A reality built of small actions, quiet coordination and a system that listens even when a woman cannot find the words. Within this quiet space, women living under threat are given a small but vital moment of safety.
